Buddhist Monastery was founded on October 12, 1990 by the power of faith of Buddhist in Denmark and neighboring countries as well, such as Sweden, Norway and German etc. The Buddhist Society of Denmark was founded by Buddhist in Denmark, who had invited the Buddhist Monks from Thailand; Phra (Venerable) Soodthibongse Soodthiwangso of Wat Phra krai-Si (Phra Krai-Si temple), Hua Mark, Bangkapi, Bangkok who was appointed to be the chief of Buddhist monk for organizing of Buddhist Monastery. The document was handed over to the Sangha Supreme Council by Somdech Phra Buddhacaraya by that time his rank was Phra Bramagunabhorn.
There are three building and one Ubosatha Hall which Somdech Phra Buddhacaraya was the supervisor for the establishment of the Assembly Hall laying down on July 2, 1991. In the procedure, there were 15 highly respected monks from Thailand, England, Sweden, Nertherland etc. H.E. Thongchan Jatikasathein and Mrs. Subbhang Jatikasathein were the chief for sticking gold leaves and raising the gable spire together on July 7, 1991
